I enjoy teaching at MCHS the most during the Month of May when we are giving all those EOC, SLO and AP tests because that is how I know whether I am a good teacher. Ha ha….

In all seriousness, I enjoy MCHS most when all the pressures of testing and SLOs and EOCs and data cycles melt away and I can venture outside with my Environmental Science kids and really learn and explore. We go on Fungi hunts and look for Tree jelly, gather bugs and identify them and test the water in the pond and look for macroinvertebrates. When kids are able to forget about the test and what “answer” is correct and really focus on learning- it is amazing the joy they find in schoolwork.
